A few years later, Matilda took all 6 boys and came to the United States, finally settling in southern Kansas. William married Altie Mae Hall on December 23, 1896. They had 6 children; Hazel Fay, Clarence F., Fern Lucille, Glenn Lawrence (who died in early childhood), Harold William, and Geraldine Sylvia. William served in civil and political positions throughout his life, including Mayor of South Haven, Kansas for 18 years. William passed away on February 22 1949 at age 79.
Altie Mae Hall was born in Lohrville, Iowa on May 30th, 1878 to Leroy R. Hall and Nancy Ann Eaton. She had four brothers, Frank, Bert, Orville Verne and Edward C. Hall. Altie passed away on February 16, 1966 and both are buried in Rosehill Cemetary, South Haven, Kansas.
